Blizzard ANZ announced yesterday via their Twitter account the dates of the Season Two qualifiers. As with last season, there will be two qualifiers; one on Sunday, 17 April and another on Sunday, 01 May. The top two teams from each qualifier will then compete for their share of the US$20,000 prize pool in an online final on Saturday, 14 May.
Teams looking to usurp season one champions, Negative Synergy only have a few days left to practice before the first qualifier gets under way this Sunday at 11.00am AEST. The sign up page is now available on the ESL website.
For local esports fans who would like to watch the action, ANZ Heroes will be hosting a community stream of the 17 April and 01 May qualifiers live on our Twitch channel. Leading you through the day of play will be community casters Disconcur, GLPhoenix, Skimmy and Starving.
The top two teams from each qualifier will play in the ANZ finals, to be held on Saturday, 14 May. Once again, the Australian and New Zealand region will miss out on a LAN final, but the online tournament will be streamed live from the ESL Studio in Sydney.
@ooglydit1 Not for season 2, it will be live streamed from the ESL studio in Sydney and players will be online.
