For the first time in the ANZ region, teams will have not one, but two different routes available to qualify. The first way is via competing in the Gamestah HotS Summer Qualifiers – a four week swiss league that will offer players the opportunity to win MVP prizes, cash prizes and even coaching. Teams will be able to sign up at any time during the four week event, with the top two placing teams securing a spot in the Championships. It will also feature a free-agent event, ran by Morton.
In addition to the league, ANZ Heroes have once again teamed up with ESL to run the more traditional one day event, where teams will sign up to compete in a double elimination tournament on 11 February, 2017. Teams who were unsuccessful in the league will have a second chance to secure themselves a place in the Championships, with the top two teams on the day advancing to the finals.
The finals will be played online on 18 Febrauary 2017. The winning team will have earned the right to represent our region in the Western Clash.
Sign ups for both events are now open! Remember to check out the Heroes LFM site if you’re looking to form a team but don’t really know where to start.
